Qualifications
The ideally qualified candidate will have:
Credentials and Experience:
- Diverse portfolio of successful professional FPE experience as a consulting engineer and project manager, serving new and repeat clients
- Possess PE license in State of Washington in Fire Protection Engineering (or ability to obtain)
- Eligibility for security clearance for private and government agencies
Competencies:
- Proven ability to interpret and apply IBC and IFC fire protection and life safety code provisions to various occupancies in new and existing buildings
- Successfully manage multiple projects with competing priorities and conflicting deadlines
- Ability to clearly communicate technical issues verbally and in writing
- Strong problem analysis and solving skills

- B.S. in Engineering (Fire Protection preferred)
- NCEES FE Certificate (or ability to obtain)
- Commitment to FPE career path
- Eligibility for security clearance for private and government agencies
Competencies:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Awareness of IBC, IFC, and NFPA provisions
- Successfully manage multiple projects with competing priorities and conflicting deadlines
- Interest and ability to mater performance-based design
- Ability to conduct research independently on a variety of topics
